Samsung India has launched an online store, offering its product range across mobile phones, tablets, laptops, netbooks and related accessories. The store has been named, Samsung eStore, and is serviced and managed by Savex Computers, a national distributor for Samsung India Electronics, who is responsible for the delivery and logistics of all orders placed on the site, and for maintaining the site as well as the end customer interactions. The site accepts payments via Credit and Debit cards, Net Banking, and Cash on Delivery (for select locations), and claims to deliver across most locations in India. It also offers a toll-free support number and an e-mail ID for it. Although the site is in beta, and we encountered a few hiccups while navigating it, it's interesting to note that the Samsung India site has started linking to it, through its product pages. Samsung is also linking out to e-commerce sites like LetsBuy, which, according to a product page, is a trusted Samsung Sales Partner. We wonder if the company will only offer a link to its own store, in the future. A lot of phones on the Samsung eStore were out of stock and pricing was not competitive compared to other ecommerce sites including Flipkart and LetsBuy.
