BookMyShow, the online ticketing venture from Big Tree Entertainment, has announced that it is the official ticketing partner for Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, Pune Warriors and Delhi Daredevils for the upcoming, fifth season of Indian Premier League (IPL). Users can book tickets of the home matches of Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab as well as view details like seating arrangement, venue, offers, players’ information, ticketing outlets, and delivery tracking of tickets. Users can also purchase the official team merchandise from the portal. According to BookMyShow, apart from being the official ticketing partner for these teams, the company will also provide a ticketing solution to them, which would include strategy and planning, ticket printing with security features, online and ground sales, home delivery, cash collection, inventory management, stock distribution, corporate & package sales, online marketing, gate entry validation and post event management and reconciliation. Why not a single portal? As with previous editions, it seems like multiple portals will be offering online booking of IPL 5. While BookMyShow will offer tickets for Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, Pune Warriors and Delhi Daredevils, it appears that Ticketgenie has started retailing tickets for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Deccan Chargers home games.
