Nokia India Launches Online Store With Indiatimes

Nokia India has launched an online store, Nokia Shop on an Indiatimes* sub-domain, to sell its handsets, reports BGR.in. The online store is powered by Indiatimes Shopping, which will also take care of customer support. The site offers shipping all across the country, and accepts payments via Credit and Debit cards, Net Banking, Paymate and Cash on Delivery modes. This is perhaps the first of the branded stores that Gautam Sinha, CTO at Indiatime, had told us about. Shipping time varies between upto 3 days for Metros, 3-5 days for tier-2 cities and 5-10 days for the rest. The site also offers Interest free EMIs of 3 and 6 months on phones. The site has a 7 day return policy, under which unused products can be returned for a refund or replacement, within the period. We had expected that Nokia would directly link to the Indiatimes shop from the front page. Interestingly, the Nokia India site has also added a page for Nokia Shop, where it lists all available products and offers the user the ability to buy the phone through a 'preferred retailer'. The user is not taken to the Indiatimes domain till the time he clicks on the Buy Now button. We presume that Nokia might add other online retailers on the site in the future. As noted by BGR.in, the prices offered on the online store are Best Buy prices, and a quick search on other online stores revealed that the prices are comparatively higher on the online Nokia Shop.…
