MobStac Raises Funding; To Launch Touchsite: Report

MobStac or MobileMotion Technologies, the company that enables web publishers (blogs and websites) to convert their desktop sites into mobile optimized versions, has raised funding from Accel Partners and Mumbai Angels, reports Pluggd.in. The financial details of the funding have not been disclosed. According to the report, MobStac intends to utilize the funding for development of a new product focused on tablets, that it calls 'Touchsite', which essentially converts websites to tablet optimized versions using html5. We tried contacting MobStac CEO, Sharat Potharaju for a confirmation, however, his mobile phone was switched off. The company's offerings include: - Mobile Sites: Enables websites and blogs to offer a mobile optimized site, through MobStac's self service platform and claims to support 5,000 mobile devices. MobStac offers different plans for publishers starting from a basic plan which is free (although, ad supported) to a customized plan for Enterprise users, supporting integration with different CMS (Content Management Systems) including Wordpress and Joomla, and ad networks. It also offers analytics. - Touchsite:  Allows websites to offer tablet optimized versions using HTML5. Pluggd.in mentions that the product will be launched in November 2011 in closed Beta. More when we hear from MobStac.
