Industry Moves: Kamal Gianchandani To PVR; Jagbir Singh To RCOM

Two senior level moves: PVR has announced Kamal Gianchandani's return to the company, as President (PVR Pictures). Gianchandani had resigned from Reliance Entertainment company BIGFlix, where he was Chief Operating Officer, and was responsible for the online streaming and retail rollout of the movie rental business; He was also with Reliance Big Pictures as Chief Operating Officer. Before moving to Reliance BIG Entertainment, Gianchandani had been COO of PVR Pictures. Gianchandani had resigned in April, according to Business of Cinema. [release] * Jagbir Singh, former Group CTO (Mobility Networks) at Bharti Airtel, has joined Reliance Communications as President (Technology and Networks), reports SiliconIndia. He had joined Airtel in 2001, and was responsible for strategic planning of Mobile Network, providing strategic direction, deciding the network architecture, leading the complete Mobility network team, 3G strategy & planning team and Wimax deployment team. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of Telecom, having worked with Bharti’s Infotel group, Nortel (in Asia-Pac role), Lucent Technologies and in Defense Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Govt of India.
