DailyMotion Ties Up With Yahoo Online video streaming company Dailymotion has partnered with Yahoo! which will allow users to view videos through a Dailymotion widget on the Yahoo homepage. The partnership is not only for Yahoo India but for France, UK, Germany, Spain and Italy as well. The totally advertising based video streaming company which entered the Indian market in 2008 has claimed a growth of 150 percent YoY in India alone. It also has partnership with Hungama Digital Media for for its Bollywood and Indian content. Luc Dumont, VP (International Expansion) for Dailymotion told Exchange4Media that they intend to ink more partnerships in India, and package content around Bollywood and music. Yahoo on the other hand has been on a widget adding spree. At present the site has 64 applications that users can choose from to add to the Favorites column. Widgets of Dainik Jagran, Hindustan Times, NDTV (News and Goodtimes) and livemint.com are present. Online travel agent Yatra.com and online word game Lexulous were probably the first Indian add-on to the revamped Yahoo site. YouTube Launches Bollywood Movies Popular video streaming site YouTube looks to be focusing on India too. It recently launched a Bollywood channel with full length Indian movies free to view online. At present it has 28 full length movies from Shemaroo Entertainment, Rajshri and UltraHindi studios. The site might be slightly disappointing to a young audience as most of the movies belong to the 60s and the 70s. Flicks such as Bawarchi, Bewaqoof, Amar Akbar Anthony etc are available. Newer…
