profit of Rs. 106.12 million for the quarter ended September 2009 as compared to Rs. 75.77 million in the corresponding quarter last year. Income from operations stood at Rs. 645.47 million. EPS increased to Rs.1.84 (Rs.5 Equity shares) and total expenditure showed a slight decrease of 4.72 percent to Rs. 561.1 million.

Jagran Prakashan publishers of Dainik Jagran has reported operating revenue 
of Rs. 2468 million up 18.31 percent as compared to the same quarter of the last FY. The operating revenue for the quarter ended June, 2009 was 2318.7 million. Net profit stood at 502.76 million as compared to Rs. 495.1 million for the previous quarter. Ad Revenue and Circulation Revenue were reported as Rs. 1716 million and 542.8 million respectively.

Spice Group’s handset unit Spice Mobile has reported a net profit of
Rs.164 million as compared to the loss of Rs.63 million posted for the quarter ended September, 2008. Total revenue and bfor the quarter was announced to be Rs.2200 million and Rs. 1965 million respevtively.
Entertainment Network India Ltd backed Radio Mirchi has announced revenues of Rs 559 million for the quarter ending September, 2009 a rise of 11.35% as compared to the revenue of Rs 502 million reported for the quarter ended June 2009. The corresponding revenue of the same period last fiscal was Rs. 616 million.
EBITDA stood at Rs. 14.5 crore as compared to the quarter ended September 2008 EBITDA’s of Rs. 8.5 crores. Profit after tax was Rs. 38 million as against a loss of Rs 33 million during the same quarter last fiscal year. Consolidated results, the company reported revenues of Rs 984 million during the quarter ended September 2009 compared to Rs 1099 million during Q2 FY09. The loss before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization declined from Rs 597 million in Q2FY09 to Rs 824 million during the Q2 FY10.

Mid Day Multimedia Limited
Mid Day has reported a consolidated net revenue from sales
of Rs. 300.1 million marginally (0.13 percent) down on QoQ for the quarter ended September, 2009 .Net consolidated loss for the period was Rs. 17.7 million, better from Rs. 206.4 million in the quarter ended September, 2008. Consumption of raw material and cost of printing also reduced by 54.1 percent YoY this quarter to Rs. 53.2 million.

Shyam Telecom has reported total revenue of 704.42 million, a 
growth of 54 percent YoY for the quarter ended September, 2009. Despite the growth in revenue the company had a loss of Rs. 40.56 million. EPS was – Rs 3.6 for this quarter opposed to Rs. 0.78 for the quarter ended September, 2008. Income includes Rs. 6.77 million on account of exchange fluctuation and expenditure includes bad debt and provision for bad debt of Rs. 34.59 million during this quarter.
