Reliance BIGFlix Launches Mob App Reliance Entertanment's video on demand and DVD rental business BigFlix has launched Movie Rental on the mobile - through an application called BIGFlix Mobile Smart Client powered by Spice Digital (Cellebrum). There is also a WAP site for the service: m.bigflix.com. The application can be downloaded from here onto your mobilel; it does not stream movies and is hence not a Mobile TV app. It offers the option to rent DVDs of the movies from your phone and has a bunch of features related to this service - browsing the library of content, searching for movies, managing your queue of rented DVDs, checking your account details and requesting free pick-up of a rented DVD/VCD. Usability, New users The application will increase the reach of BigFlix to new users. It has the option to use it as a guest, without registering so one can try it out before registering for the DVD rental service. The application's interface is speedy even on GPRS speeds; images take just a tad longer to load. The application keeps it simple - you search or browse for a movie, read a small review of it with the rating, date of release and cast, and can choose "Options" to queue the DVD or VCD to top, go to your queue or continue searching.
