Subscribing to Hungama is waste of money. Can not play in any portable device. Need internet connectivity to listen to downloaded songs.

Two things which are fundamentally different to consider a lower churn

1. the subscribers to this will be acquired on pull (ones who like it) rather than push ( operator method). Also in the segment with higher propensity to spend, the churn is lower

2. The Ts and Cs neatly state that the subscription shall be recovered through autodebit on the credit card.

both these factors can reduce the churn

Biz Case needs an assumption of max 4 months not even 6 months;

Competition with piracy can generate sustainable volumes if you generate enough “USER EXPERIENCE” – something where operators get nightmares with record high 3% average churn ;

Customer Care is a non core activity – May lead to higher costs or poor user experience

Topline would be good before another investment/Corporate Action but throughput is a question mark?

Music is sold at 4 GB downloads at Rs.30/- on stroage chip…… Go Rural and small towns..most stores sell this….

Telco's do not pay 25% of EUP as license , they pay only of download so for overall cost this could be much less than 20.
