most likely zapak will be paying NDTV a monthly fee of sorts which is not publicized to get this deal to generate more eyeballs thats how most of these deals work

I understand what you are trying to say and I agree when you say both are gaining something out of this tie-up.. but it will be a very small gain for NDTV. Unless they try to do something extraordinary, no one is going to notice. That's my point. I am not against anyone venturing into gaming, as a matter of fact, I am all for it.
And regarding internet culture. I don't have a problem if a person posts a comment without a link. But it's not right to stay anonymous and post a "shut up" comment, that's all. =)

Balu – I am not favoring the language used by person above but I slightly disagree from your point of view as well. Every website have different audiences and there are users who still travel to limited sites as per their use. I am sure 70% of NDTV users are not going to Zapak or vice versa. Its a win-win for both the parties here because NDTV gets fun & interactive content for its users who would like to take some break from work and Zapak gets more visibility with new users because what I believe that Zapak still is popular among kids & youth only and they would like to add more audience.
Well even I dont have any blog or twitter or website but I am still part of internet culture :-)

I may or may not know about "Internet economy" the point is, there is no point in launching yet another me-too site. They have offer something different from what others are offering. Otherwise it's a waste of money. Now I visit Zapak often, why would I visit NDTV gaming site to play games when all of them are available on Zapak.

PS: I may not know about internet economy but I know about internet culture. You need to have accountability over here, when you bark orders like that. Link to you blog, twitter whatever so we know who you are. If you don't have anything to link to, I doubt you know about internet at all!

A sound strategy for any business is to do strategic tie ups with partners where the company don't have experties..NDTV very well knows it's vision and is growing at a rapid pace.
