Former NDTV Convergence CEO Sanjay Trehan will be joining Microsoft to head MSN reports Exchange4media. MediaNama has independently confirmed this from sources within MSN, though there isn't yet clarity on his designation. Trehan, when contacted, declined to comment: neither confirming nor denying the development. Speculation has been rife since Trehan put in his papers at NDTV, and Indiatimes and Yahoo were seen has possible contenders, though the buzz on Yahoo reduced after Arun Tadanki joined Yahoo. The MSN position has been vacant since Country Manager (India) Jaspreet Bindra took over as head of Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices segment from Mohit Anand. We're told that Krishna Prasad, Executive Producer for Microsoft has been holding fort at MSN. It is expected that Trehan will report to Hemant Sachdev, Joint Managing Director for Microsofts Consumer and Online Business, operating out of Delhi.
