Abhinav Bindra’s Wikipedia page was updated with the news of his winning the gold medal at the Beijing Olympics, within 20 minutes. [via @pacificleo. 45 Over 50 updates already today. His photo was just put up, during the time I took to type this post. The updated text:
"In August 2008, he became the first Indian to win an individual gold medal at the Olympic Games, and the first gold medal since 1980 for India"
Update: Bindra also has a blog - at http://abhinavbindra.blogspot.com/ . [via @s4ur4bh] This morning, there were two comments on this post on Bindra’s blog, before he won the medal. Now there are 588 comments.

20 min? As i can see the 1st edit to announce he has won the gold was done at 09:54 AM. if i’m correct that’s almost realtime. I mean I saw the even live on TV around 09:45, if i remember correctly (i was running around as I was getting late for work :)!!!
