Sunil Rajshekhar has joined as the COO of Times Internet Ltd (TIL / Indiatimes), MediaNama has learned. On being contacted, Times Internet has confirmed his appointment. Rajshekhar was previously the head of BCCLs Private Treaties business, and at Indiatimes, he will report to TIL MD & CEO Dinesh Wadhawan. Rajshekhar is a BCCL (Times of India group) veteran, with over 25 years with the group, and had initiated BCCLs Internet foray with Times Interactive and the launch of Indiatimes. During the dot com boom, he had led an exodus from Times Group to the ill-fated Indiainfo.com, which eventually tanked. He moved to the interactive division STAR TV, then back to BCCL to head Private Treaties. Prior to returning to the Internet business at BCCL, Rajshekhar was Director, South with the Times Group. We've also received reports of a number of middle level executives having left Indiatimes in the recent past, which has also been confirmed by Indiatimes. Apparently, there is some restructuring in progress. Update: E4M reported and we confirmed it too - Rajshekhar has joined as President & COO.
